Around Llansteffan
Immediately adjacent to Elmrise Park are the popular Mexican Bar
and delightful Mansion House Hotel, which boasts spectacular views
of the Towy Estuary and hosts weddings and other special occasions,
plus a restaurant and a recommended Sunday lunch.
There are local woodland and hilltop walks and the area is well
suited to cycling.
Llansteffan Beach is a beautiful tidal leisure area for walkers
and families to enjoy. Overlooking the beach on the headland is
the stunning Llansteffan Castle, which commands breath-taking
views across the estuary.
Round the headland, is the tranquil Scotts Bay, which is a quiet
sandy beach, close to the local landmark of St Anthony’s Well
and leading on to a National Trust headland walking area.
Carmarthen town is an excellent shopping venue, 10 minutes away
with a market on Wednesdays and Saturdays.
Supermarkets include a 24-hour Tescos and a Morrisons.
